Rain, rain go away....

I welcomed the rain over the weekend, well actually it was more than just rain aye, wee bit of a storm. Enough to stop husband from doing his harbour kayaking trip which he has been planning for ages, got cancelled last weekend too because of the blinkin rain.

A stream runs through the back of our place and when it rains heavily, coupled with a high tide, it can quite often flood, so the kids took off down the back to see if we were going to float away or not. The wind was howling and there was driving rain, but it didnt stop them, crazy kids, spent the next 20 mins "drinking" the rain while completely drenched and loving it.

Dilemmia: I need to move my bookcase which stores my fascinators from the hallway and into my office. The hallway has continued to spew overflow that my office just cant hold. Its now got

ridiculous so I hatched a plan in my head in the early hours of this morning while I was awake, to get that bookcase outta the hallway.

First of all, I need to move a glass coffee table in my office which has no other purpose but to hold crap on top of it, nothing special, just a mish mash of "stuff". Rats, it holds a big long box of ostrich feathers underneath it, so where is that going to go.... stuff it under my workbench.

Ok, to get the coffee table out of the office it needs to go somewhere in the kitchen seated area. To make space for that the 3 seater sofa will have to go back into the lounge, before that can happen, the 2 seater will have to come out of the lounge and swap with the three seater. To fit the 3 seater into the space the 2 seater was in, I have to move the kids bookshelf in the corner. Quick pow wow with the kids, yep, they dont mind. Ok where is that going to go?

Into the kids room, before I can move the kids bookshelf out of the lounge, I have to rearrange the kids present "not working very well" makeshift stack of books already on their set of draws. Right, shove all thoses off, unload the downstairs one and haul it upstairs and start again. Actually I was really surprised as the kids just loved setting it all up and categorised the books and labelled them and was so proud of the final result. Little did they know it was the last piece in the gigantic puzzle of mine to just get my flippin bookshelf out of the hallway!

So kids bookshelf moved, 3 seater in place, 2 seater in kitchen area, coffee table out of office into kitchen...... just got to get the last single sofa seat out of my office and squeezed somewhere into the kitchen area again so I can move the bookcase through the door.......

.....easy.
